16 Gauge Adjustable KD HM Frames: 4 1/2" - 7 3/4" Throat x 90 Min Fire Labeled
MDI KD adjustable frames are among our most popular door frame sold to date. They can be used for a variety of wall construction materials (drywall, masonry, etc) and a variety of wall thicknesses (4 1/2" - 7 3/4") - avoiding the lengthy lead-time of having a custom frame made. Our adjustable KD frames are differnt frame residential adjustable frames being that they are more like a typical commercial knock-down frame...a 3-piece frame (header, hinges jamb and strike jamb). That's it - just a typical 3-piece frame that slides open and closed to set the frame onto the wall. Steel and wood doors can be installed into our adjustabel KD door frame. Our KD ADJ-47 door frames can meet a variety of applications, have various hardware preparations and can be painted to compliment any decor.

Our ADJ Frame is one of our most popular frames.
Using this frame eliminates the need for custom throat frames to be made, saving time and money! This frame will wrap around walls that measure anywhere from 4 1/2" - 7 3/4" thick. W ealso have a larger Adjustable Frame to wrap wider walls. Please contact our office for a price quote on the larger adjustable frame.

Standard Strike Prep: (1) 4 7/8" ANSI Strike Prep is standard on all door frames by MDI.
Dead Lock Strike Prep (DLS Prep): is not standard and it is optional. If you choose to add a DLS Prep to the frame it will be a: 1 1/8" wide x 2 3/4" high frame prep and it will be located 10" center-to-center above the standard strike prep. This prep is a modifcation to the standard frame and once the DLS prep is done the frame cannot be canceled, returned or exchanged.
